About Us
Hi my name is Michelle and I am the owner/founder of Pegasus Soaps.
Where are you from?
I grew up in South Jersey (near Phila) and lived in Philadelphia PA for 17yrs before
moving south to VA.
How did I get started?
Well I was looking into doing something crafty and began reading up on
jewelry making. Well I didn't do so well with jewelry and found out that
it just wasn't my thing. I later started to dabble into making handmade
soaps for myself and as holiday gifts. I later opened my Etsy shop in 2006 a year later I began making cold process soaps and hot process soaps.
What is so special about my soaps and bath and body products?
What is so special about my soaps is that I make them myself. I really
enjoy making soaps. And yes I use them every single day. I am not a perfectionist but I don't like when things go wrong and I have to start from scratch. I really hate having to start over a recipe that didn't turn out the way I wanted it. Materials are costly these days. My husband loves my soaps and I have converted him from using body wash to handmade soaps. He can definitely see and feel the difference in his skin.
I try to do the best I
can to make good soaps for my customers. None of my products are
sitting on shelves in bottles and jars waiting to be sold. My jar and
bottle products are filled at the time of your order. If a batch is not
already made, a new batch will be made and jars and bottles will be
filled at the time of your order is received. Bath bombs, Bath melts and
many other items are also made at the time you place your order to
assure quality and freshness. It may take a couple of days to get your orders out because I fill the order as they come in but your products will be fresh.
I like being able to allow my customers to customize their order. I don't have bottles of lotions or creams already premade with fragrance added to them because I know that everyone has different taste in what scents they prefer. I have always been this way and will continue to allow customers to pick and choose the scents they like to wear.
What do you want your customers to know?
I
do everything from creating my own labels, packaging, and making my
products, it can be overwhelming at times. I put time into each and
every order that I receive. I am a one woman show so at times it will
take me up to 3 days to complete an order during the busy holiday
seasons, but I think you will be be pleased with the outcome.
In closing, customer satisfaction is what I strive to achieve. I can
work with you to create custom orders. I like for customers to email me
any questions you may have or request a special custom order. If I don't
have it in stock, I will try my best to find it for you. Have
allergies, no problem, we can work with you on that too.
